Paris 2024’s beach volleyball events are scheduled from July 27 to August 10, 2024.

The 24 teams in each gender play a total of 54 matches in the pool phase and the single-elimination phase.

The first stage of the tournament features six single round-robin pools of four teams each.

The six pool winners, the six pool runners-up and the best two of the six third-placed teams qualify directly to the eighthfinals.

The remaining four third-placed teams progress to a sixteenthfinal single-elimination round, dubbed “lucky-loser round”, and the two winners of that round move forward to complete the eighthfinal line-up.

The eight winners of the eighthfinals qualify for the quarterfinals.

The four winners of the quarterfinals qualify for the semifinals.

The two winners of the semifinals qualify for the final to distribute the gold and the silver medals.

The two losers of the semifinals move on to the third-place match to compete for the bronze medal.
