The best servers of the World Championship were not separated by much at the end of Phase 2. 28-year-old American opposite Annie Drews held on to her lead from the first phase with a new total of 15 aces. In the second phase, Italian outside Caterina Bosetti added six aces to her tally to climb to the second position with a total of 14, just one clear of third-placed Gaila Gonzalez of the Dominican Republic and two clear of fourth-placed Mayu Ishikawa of Japan.
