Team Germany are eagerly awaiting the start of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship and their first match against Bulgaria on Sunday. "The mood in the team is great. The team chemistry is better than ever. We have a great mix of players in the team and want to be as unpredictable as possible and create a surprise for our opponents," said captain Jennifer Janiska.

The 14 players selected for the tournament were confirmed by coach Vital Heynen ahead of the beginning of the competition on Friday.
